Every now and then a designer designs something �just for herself� without the intention of marketing the design. But when I finished �I�d Rather Bee Stitching� it had turned out so cute that I had to share it with my �bee-loving buddies� who stitch. I wanted this needle book to fit in the palm of my hand and that�s exactly what it does...tiny, sweet and totally functionable! Both the front and back of the needlebook are decorated with tiny bees and there�s a fabulous spool of thread on the front cover that�s worked with Padded Satin Stitches to make it look three-dimensional. Everything is then surrounded with a delicate celtic-like border of Backstitches, trimmed with hand dyed Rick-rack and filled with yummy hand dyed wool to �park� your needle in. I hope you�re gonna love this little needlebook and want one for yourself...I know I did!, that's why I designed it.

While this might be the fourth in the new kits from The Bee Cottage it is by far THE most special! On a recent trip to California we ran across the Clairmont Lavender Farm in the hills of Los Olivos outside Santa Barbara....Oh!, the fields were so pretty and the scent was overwhelmingly irresistible! While I couldn’t bring the actual Lavender plants home with me I knew I could bring the memory of that lovely farm home to share & decided on the spot that I was going to create a VERY special sachet kit. So I ordered pounds and pounds and pounds (Oh my!) of dried lavender buds and set about designing something really special....something I thought YOU would really enjoy. In the design for this kit you’ll see a beautiful bee specimen surrounded by a heart-shaped wreath made from Lavender blossoms and worked on Lambswool Linen. A few sparkles were added with Crystal Paillettes & I added a tiny sprinkle of beads BUT the real treat in this kit is that is also contains BOTH the Silver colored organza bag AND the dried lavender buds to fill your sachet... ALL IN ONE KIT! (Now that is what I call all-inclusive!) From the time you open this kit to the time it is complete with Lavender inside your sachet your home will be filled with the same relaxing aroma I experienced at Clairmont Farms.
