These scissors are made in France in an atelier at Nogent, the historical region of scissor making.

These embroidery scissors are made in France and are perfect for travel as the blades are well below the maximum for airlines. They are forged, dipped, polished, chromed and hand-mounted. They are a replica of a classic model in French scissor-making. They bear the name of a village in Haute-Marne (north east France), a region once devoted to the production of scissors. They are sold under the Découvit brand, which has become a generic name for stitch rippers made in France since 1930. This brand is now part of the Toulemonde group, manufacturers of the illustrious Fil au Chinois. They are presented shrink-wrapped on a pretty Art Deco-style card. Size: 4"

Sajou's replica of a small 19th century two-flap basket is one of our most popular and endearing products. It enables you to hide away your pins on one side and your needles on the other. It is made of cherry wood stained wood. Two small pieces of blue colored ribbon allow you to easily lift each of the two flaps. The basket is 12 cm long, 6 cm wide and 5 cm high, the small handle included. The handle is marked Sajou on each side in black. The left flap is marked "Aiguilles" (needles) in black and the right flap, also in black, is marked "Epingles" (pins).

Rouen is the home to many scissor makers and cutlers.They were also known as fabric sellers scissors because they were typically used in fabric shops. They have rounded blades enabling fabric cutters to put them in their pockets without needing a protective case.Ideal for use as workshop scissors for all types of work apart from embroidery.Size: 14cm. This small vintage style wooden tape measure had tape that unwinds by pulling on the ring and is rewound by turning on the small knob placed on the end of the tape measure.The actual tape is a blue ribbon which was specially woven for Sajou and indicates centimeters.The body of the tape measure is made in the form of a small barrel. The base diameter is 1" and it measures 1.38" high. It is marked Sajou in silver on two sides.
Only Cherry Wood Finish is available at this time with four different ribbon color options.
